Drawing works with pointer input and produces a transparent PNG image. Use a steady stroke with enough contrast to remain visible after embedding. Type a signature
Typed mode renders the entered text in a cursive-style image. Check spelling, capitalization, and the name the contract expects before signing. A script font does not create stronger evidence than uploaded or drawn artwork, and it does not automatically fill a printed-name field elsewhere on the form.
Upload a signature image
Upload mode accepts PNG or JPEG. Crop the image tightly around the mark and avoid photographs containing a desk, identification card, address, or other personal material. A PNG with a transparent background usually sits more cleanly over a signature area, while a JPEG may carry a visible rectangular background.
These three modes differ in appearance, not verification level. Use only a mark you are authorized to apply. Never upload or place another person’s signature merely because you possess an image of it.
Work within the placement controls
The tool offers nine preset page positions rather than a draggable field. The embedded image is at most 180 PDF points wide, reduced when necessary to fit narrow pages, and retains its aspect ratio. “Bottom right” means a position near the page edge; it does not recognize the printed signature line or automatically align with it.
Inspect the chosen page before committing. Select an area with enough blank space for the mark and avoid clauses, totals, dates, checkboxes, and labels. If none of the presets reaches the intended line safely, stop and use the sender’s designated signing method or another authorized editor with precise placement. Covering meaningful text to force a signature into place is not an acceptable compromise.
For several required marks, remember that each generated output contains the placement made in that operation. Repeating the process on a downloaded copy may be possible, but review every intermediate version and confirm that the document owner accepts that method. A platform designed for multiple signers is more appropriate when routing, sequence, or evidence matters.
Review and deliver the signed copy
Compare the output with the unsigned source page by page. Confirm the count, order, orientation, and nearby wording. Check that the signature is neither clipped nor stretched, and test any interactive fields that must remain usable. An image can make a page look complete without satisfying machine-validated form requirements.
Name the result so it cannot be confused with the source, and retain the unsigned version until the recipient accepts the signed copy. Send it through the requested portal, secure workspace, or email channel. Delivery evidence comes from that channel, not from the eSign tool, which does not email anyone or record recipient access.

A reusable signature graphic can be copied like any other image. Do not remove a PDF password or editing restriction unless you own the file or have permission. Ask the sender for a signable copy when protection blocks loading.
