Remove PDF Pages: Delete Pages From a PDF in Your Browser

A PDF often carries pages nobody needs: a blank page from the scanner, an outdated appendix, or a page with details the recipient should not see. This tool removes those pages and saves a new PDF with the rest, in the same order.

It works entirely in your browser. Your PDF is not uploaded to our server, and the original file on your device stays as it was.

How to remove pages from a PDF

1. Click Choose Files or drag a PDF of up to 25 MB onto the upload area. A thumbnail of every page appears.
2. Click the pages you want to remove, or use the Delete button on a single page.
3. Click Save & Download. Selected pages are left out of the new PDF.

To check the result before saving, click Delete Selected first; the pages disappear from the view and you see what is left. Every page shown when you save ends up in the new file.

Selecting several pages at once

Hold Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) and click to select several pages that are not next to each other, such as pages 2, 5 and 9. You can also drag a box around a group of thumbnails to select them together.

Click a thumbnail's zoom button to look at a page in full size before you decide. Pages can be turned with Rotate Left and Rotate Right, and the turn is saved in the new PDF.

If every page is selected, the tool asks you to keep at least one, since the new PDF needs a page.

Why your PDF never leaves your browser

The page removal runs on your device with pdf-lib, an open-source library that creates and modifies PDF documents in any JavaScript environment, browsers included. Our server never receives your file.

That makes the tool a good choice for confidential documents. Speed depends on your device, and a 25 MB limit applies even though nothing is uploaded.

A PDF that needs a password to open cannot be read in the browser. Remove the password with Unlock PDF first, and only for files you have the right to change.

What changes in the saved PDF

The new PDF holds the remaining pages in their order, with their content, size and rotation. The pages after a removed page move up, so the old page 4 becomes page 3 in your viewer.

Page numbers printed on the pages themselves do not change, so a printed footer can skip a number. To label the shorter file from 1 again, number a copy that has no printed numbers with Add Page Numbers.

Removing pages does not black out text on the pages you keep. If sensitive details sit on a page you need, removing pages is not enough to hide them.

Keeping pages, splitting and reordering instead

When you want to keep only a few pages of a long file, picking them with Extract PDF Pages is quicker than deleting all the others. To cut a document into several files, use Split PDF.

To change the page order without deleting anything, use Organize PDF Pages. To put the trimmed file together with another document, use Merge PDF.

What happened when we tested Remove PDF Pages

We opened test3.pdf, a small 5-page test file of 2.0 KB, and removed pages 2 and 4 with their own Delete buttons, keeping pages 1, 3 and 5. The saved PDF was 1.5 KB with 3 pages, and it was ready in under a tenth of a second (0 seconds on our clock).

The three pages kept their order and their text. Tested in October 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions about removing PDF pages

Can I undo a page deletion?

Your original file is not changed, so you can always open it again. Within the tool, Start Over on the results screen begins a new job.

Is my PDF uploaded when I remove pages?

No. The pages are removed in your browser, and the file is never sent to our server.

Can I remove pages from a password-protected PDF?

Not until it is unlocked. Remove the password with Unlock PDF first, if you have the right to do so.

Can I remove non-consecutive PDF pages at once?

Yes. Hold Ctrl or Cmd and click each page you want to remove, then click Save & Download.

Will removing pages make my PDF smaller?

Usually, yes. Our 2.0 KB test file was 1.5 KB after two of its five pages were removed.
