PPTX to PDF: Convert PowerPoint Presentations Online

Converting PPTX to PDF gives you a presentation that looks the same on every screen and printer, opens without PowerPoint, and cannot be changed by accident. It is the usual format for handouts, email attachments and conference uploads.

This converter runs LibreOffice Impress on our server and turns each slide into one PDF page. It accepts PPT and PPTX files up to 25 MB, converts several decks at once, and needs no account.

How to convert PPTX to PDF online

1. Click Choose Files or drag PPT or PPTX files onto the page. Each file can be up to 25 MB.
2. Add more presentations or remove the ones you do not need.
3. Click Convert To PDF and wait while the files upload and convert.
4. Download your PDF. Several presentations come back together in one ZIP.

What the PDF looks like

Every slide becomes one page with the same size and shape as the slide. A 16:9 deck gives wide pages, and an older 4:3 deck gives pages closer to square.

Text stays real text, so you can search and copy it in the PDF. Pictures, charts and shapes are drawn as they appear on the slide.

The server has the common Office fonts installed, including Calibri, Cambria, Arial, Segoe UI and Times New Roman. A font it does not have, such as a custom brand font, is replaced with a similar one, so check your headings after converting.

What happened when we tested PPTX to PDF

We used test.pptx, a small one-slide test presentation of 36.6 KB. The tool returned test_PPTXToPDF.pdf, 21.7 KB, with 1 page, 0.8 seconds after we clicked Convert To PDF on our local test server.

There are no options to set, so the file was converted as uploaded. Tested in October 2026.

What does not carry over to PDF

A PDF page does not move, so animations and transitions are gone and each slide shows its finished state. Embedded videos and sounds do not play.

Macro presentations (PPTM) and slide shows saved as PPSX are not accepted, so save them as PPTX first. For LibreOffice presentations, use ODP to PDF, and remove the password from a protected presentation before you upload it.

To get one PDF from several decks, use Merge PowerPoint to PDF. A deck full of photos can give a large PDF, which Compress PDF can shrink before you email it.

Saving as PDF in PowerPoint itself

If you have PowerPoint, you can also save the PDF there and skip the upload. Microsoft's guide to saving PowerPoint presentations as PDF files uses File, Export, Create PDF/XPS Document on Windows, and File, Export, Download as PDF in PowerPoint for the web.

Why do my fonts look different?

Uploaded presentations and the PDFs are deleted automatically within two hours.
